Short Information: UP Police Recruitment & Promotion Board has released the notice for Stage-II Computer Typing Test for Computer Operator Grade-A Recruitment 2023. The typing test will be conducted in January 2026. Eligible candidates can download the typing test admit card from the official website before the examination date.

Shortlisted Groups Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB)
Cut-off Marks A minimum score of 80.5031424 is required for all the above categories.
Educational Qualification Female (Unreserved/OBC), EWS, and SC candidates who qualified the written exam
Computer Qualification O Level Certificate (NIELIT/DOEACC) OR Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
English Typing Speed Minimum 30 Words Per Minute (WPM).
Hindi Typing Speed Minimum 25 Words Per Minute (WPM).
Hindi Keyboard Layout Unicode Inscript keyboard is mandatory
Qualifying Accuracy Minimum 85% accuracy must be maintained in both languages.
Test Duration 15 minutes for each typing language
Word Count Approx 500 words for English and 400 words for Hindi
Break Interval A 10-minute gap is provided between English and Hindi tests
Exam Date (Phase 2) Scheduled to be held in January 2026
Equipment Policy Computers provided at the center; personal keyboards are strictly prohibited.
Instructions
  • Candidates must use the computer provided at the center; personal keyboards are not allowed.
  • Hindi typing must be done strictly on the Unicode Inscript keyboard layout.
  • 15 minutes for English (500 words) and 15 minutes for Hindi (400 words).
  • A 10-minute interval is mandatory between the English and Hindi typing sessions.
  • Candidates must achieve 85% accuracy with 30 WPM in English and 25 WPM in Hindi.
