TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 19 Vacancies

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has announced the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Environmental Engineer in the Telangana Pollution Control Board. A total of 19 vacancies are available for this State-level post. The online application process begins on 10th June 2026 at the official website, https://www.tgpsc.gov.in.

TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer Vacancy Details 

The total of 19 vacancies include both fresh and carried forward posts, with 6+2CF for OC, 1+1CF each for BC-A, SC-II and ST, and the remaining vacancies distributed across EWS, BC-B, BC-C, BC-E, VH, and HH categories as per the reservation rules.The breakdown of the 19 vacancies is as follows (including carried forward positions):

• BC-A, SC-II, and ST indicate one carried forward vacancy each.

TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the prescribed academic qualification as on the notification date (02/06/2026), with the result declared by the concerned university on or before this date; merely appearing for the examination or processing of results by the cut-off date does not fulfill the eligibility requirement.

Educational Qualifications (as on 02/06/2026)

You must possess the prescribed academic qualification by the notification date (02/06/2026). The result must be declared by that date – mere appearing for the exam is not enough.

• Required Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (likely Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering based on Paper-II syllabus which includes Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Pollution Control, etc.). The notification implies you must have studied the subjects listed in the syllabus.

• Distance Education: If your degree is from Open/Distance Learning, it must be recognized by UGC/AICTE/Distance Education Bureau.

• Equivalent Qualification: If you have an equivalent degree, an expert committee will decide its acceptability. The Commission's decision is final.

Important: The upper age limit was raised from 34 to 44 years as per G.O.Ms.No.86 dated 18/05/2026.

TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer Application Fee

The application processing fee is ₹1,000 for OC/BC candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates, with an additional examination fee of ₹120 for all candidates except unemployed applicants who are fully exempted from paying the examination fee.

Fee Exemption: All unemployed applicants are exempted from paying the ₹ 120 examination fee (but must pay the application processing fee as per their category). Government employees must pay both fees.

Note: Fee once paid is non-refundable and non-adjustable. Full payment is mandatory for candidature.

TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer Selection Process

The selection is based only on the marks secured in the Objective Type Written Examination. There is no interview.

Qualifying Marks (Minimum % to be considered)

Note: Mere securing of minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee selection. Final selection is based on merit rank.

Tie-Breaking Rule (If total marks are equal)

1. Local status: Telangana local candidates get priority.

2. Date of birth: Older candidate gets higher rank.

3. Marks in subject paper (Paper II over Paper I).

4. Then date of passing, percentage in qualifying exam, higher qualifications, etc. Commission's decision is final.

TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Paper-I: General Studies and General Abilities (150 marks)

• Bilingual (English & Telugu)

• Topics: Current Affairs, General Science, Environmental Issues, Indian & Telangana Economy/Geography/History/Politics, Indian Constitution, Logical Reasoning, Basic English (10th class standard).

Paper-II: Concerned Subject (300 marks)

• Language: English Only

  1. Ecosystems: Structure, function, food chains, energy flow, biogeochemical cycles.

  2. Natural Resources: Water, mineral, land resources, dams, floods, droughts.

  3. Biodiversity: Value, hot spots, conservation (In-situ/Ex-situ), National Biodiversity Act.

  4. Engineering Materials: Phase diagrams, heat treatment, stress-strain.

  5. Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics: Properties, manometers, Bernoulli's equation, pipe flow, Reynolds number.

  6. Process Calculations & Thermodynamics: Mass/energy balance, laws of thermodynamics.

  7. Air, Water, Soil & Noise Pollution Control: Pollutants, treatment methods (ASP, trickling filters, sedimentation), standards.

  8. Solid & Industrial Waste Management: MSW processing, e-waste, bioremediation.

  9. Global Problems & Legislations: Climate change, ozone depletion, Kyoto protocol, Paris convention, Air/Water/Environment Protection Acts.

  10. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): EIA process, EMP, Sustainable development, Green building.

How to Apply for TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer 2026

Follow these steps carefully. You must have an OTR (One Time Registration) on the TGPSC website first.

Step 1: One Time Registration (OTR) – If not already done

• Visit official website: https://www.tgpsc.gov.in

• Click on "One Time Registration" (OTR).

• Fill in your basic details (name, DOB, community, educational qualifications, mobile number, email).

• Upload your photo (100-200kb, not older than 3 months) and signature (20-30kb).

• After submission, you will receive a TGPSC ID on your registered mobile and email.

• Note: OTR is NOT an application for this post. It's just a one-time profile creation.

Step 2: Apply for the Post (from 10th June to 17th July 2026)

1. Login to the website using your TGPSC ID and Date of Birth.

2. Click on the Online Application Link for "Assistant Environmental Engineer" notification.

3. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile. Enter it to proceed.

4. Verify all pre-filled details from your OTR (Name, DOB, qualifications, community, etc.). Correct any mistake now if possible.

5. Select your preferred examination centre from the list (Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, Nizamabad).

6. Preview the entire application. Check everything thoroughly.

7. Click on SAVE & PAYMENT.

8. Pay the fee online (Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI).

9. After successful payment, a PDF application form will be generated. Download and save this PDF. The Reference ID on this PDF is important for future correspondence.

Step 3: Final Check

• Changes made in OTR after submitting the application will NOT be considered.

• Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
