Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.

You can also apply if you have Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in Electrical Engineering.

Important Notes:

• Your degree must be from a university recognized by UGC or AICTE.

• If you have done your degree through distance learning, the university must have recognition from UGC/Distance Education Bureau.

• Your result must be declared on or before the notification date (2nd June 2026).

Age Limit (as on 1st July 2026)

Age Relaxation:

Note: The government has increased the upper age limit from 34 to 44 years (as per G.O.Ms.No.86 dated 18th May 2026).

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will get a pay scale of ₹54,220 – ₹1,33,630 per month (Level of pay as per government rules).

Application Fee

Exam Fee Exemption:

• Unemployed candidates do not have to pay the ₹120 examination fee.

• Government employees (Central/State/PSU) have to pay the examination fee.

Note: Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process

The selection is based on a written exam (objective type) only. There is no interview.

Important Points:

• Paper 1 is bilingual (English and Telugu)

• Paper 2 is in English only

• The exam can be OMR based or CBRT (computer based) — the commission will decide

• If the exam is held in multiple sessions, marks will be normalized

Qualifying Marks

Note: SC/ST candidates will be considered for selection even if they score less than the qualifying marks (as per rules).

Tie-Breaking Rules (if marks are equal)

If two or more candidates get the same total marks, then:

1. First priority: Local candidates of Telangana get higher rank

2. Second priority: Older candidate (by date of birth) gets higher rank

3. Third priority: Higher marks in subject paper (other than General Studies)

4. Fourth priority: Earlier date of passing the qualifying exam

5. Fifth priority: Higher percentage in qualifying exam

6. Sixth priority: Higher qualification

7. Seventh priority: Earlier date of passing higher qualification

8. Eighth priority: Higher percentage in higher qualification

Exam Syllabus

Paper 1 – General Studies and General Abilities (150 marks)

Topics include:

• Current affairs (National, International, Regional)

• International relations and events

• General science and India's achievements in science & technology

• Environmental issues and disaster management

• Economic and social development of India and Telangana

• Physical, social, and economic geography of India and Telangana

• Modern Indian history (focus on freedom movement)

• Telangana history (focus on statehood movement)

• Indian constitution, political system, governance

• Social issues (gender, caste, tribe, disability) and inclusive policies

• Telangana culture, heritage, arts, literature

• Telangana government policies

• Logical reasoning, analytical ability, data interpretation

• Basic English (10th class level)

Paper 2 – Electrical and Electronics Engineering (300 marks)

Topics include:

• Electric circuits and fields

• Electrical machines (transformers, DC machines, induction motors, synchronous machines)

• Power systems (generation, transmission, distribution, protection)

• Control systems

• Electrical and electronic measurements

• Analog and digital electronics

• Power electronics

• Electric drives

• Utilization of electrical energy (heating, welding, illumination, traction)

How to Apply – Step by Step Guide

Follow these simple steps to apply online for TGPSC Assistant Executive Engineer Recruitment 2026.

Step 1: Visit the official TGPSC website – tgpsc.gov.in

Step 2: If you are a new user, register for One Time Registration (OTR) on the website. You will get a TGPSC ID on your mobile and email.

Step 3: Login using your TGPSC ID and date of birth. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Step 4: Fill the online application form carefully. Check all details like name, date of birth, educational qualification, category, etc.

Step 5: Choose your exam centre (Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, or Nizamabad).

Step 6: Upload your recent colour passport size photo (not older than 3 months) and signature.

Step 7: Preview the application form and check for any mistakes.

Step 8: Pay the application fee and exam fee (if applicable) online using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Step 9: After successful payment, download the PDF of your submitted application form. Note down the Reference ID number for future use.

Documents Required

Keep these documents ready before applying:

• Aadhaar Card or any valid ID proof

• Educational qualification certificates (Degree)

• SSC / 10th certificate (for date of birth proof)

• Community certificate (SC/ST/BC/EWS) – issued by Telangana Revenue Authority

• Non-Creamy Layer certificate (for BC candidates)

• Income certificate (for EWS)

• Disability certificate (for PwD)

• Sports certificate (if applying under sports quota)

• Ex-Serviceman certificate (if applicable)

• No Objection Certificate (NOC) – for government employees

• Recent passport size photo (3 months old or less)

Note: If you have already uploaded certificates in OTR, you don't need to upload them again.

Exam Centres

The exam will be held at these centres in Telangana:

1. Hyderabad (including HMDA area)

2. Karimnagar

3. Khammam

4. Warangal

5. Nizamabad

The Commission can change or add centres if needed.

Reservation Information

Reservation rules will be followed as per Telangana State Rules (Rule 22 and 22A).

• Reservation is available for SC, ST, BC, EWS, Persons with Disabilities, Women, and Meritorious Sportspersons.

• Local reservation is not applicable for this post. Selection is based on state-wide merit.

• Candidates from other states are not eligible for any reservation benefits.
