Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a university recognized by UGC or AICTE.

You can also apply if you have Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in Civil Engineering.

Important Notes:

• Your degree must be from a university established under Central or Telangana State Act

• If you have done your degree through distance learning, the university must have recognition from UGC/Distance Education Bureau

• Your result must be declared on or before the notification date (2nd June 2026)

Age Limit (as on 1st July 2026)

Age Relaxation:

Note: The government has increased the upper age limit from 34 to 44 years (as per G.O.Ms.No.86 dated 18th May 2026).

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will get a pay scale of ₹54,220 – ₹1,33,630 per month (Level of pay as per government rules).

Application Fee

Exam Fee Exemption:

• Unemployed candidates do not have to pay the ₹120 examination fee

• Government employees (Central/State/PSU) have to pay the examination fee

Note: Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process

The selection is based on a written exam (objective type) only. There is no interview.

Important Points:

• Paper 1 is bilingual (English and Telugu)

• Paper 2 is in English only

• The exam can be OMR based or CBRT (computer based) — the commission will decide

• If the exam is held in multiple sessions, marks will be normalized

Note: SC/ST candidates will be considered for selection even if they score less than the qualifying marks (as per rules).

This post has 95% local reservation as per Multi Zone rules. There are two Multi Zones in Telangana:

Multi Zone-II Districts:

• Mahaboobnagar, Narayanpet, Jogulamba-Gadwal, Wanaparthi, Nagar Kurnool

Tie-Breaking Rules (if marks are equal)

If two or more candidates get the same total marks, then:

1. First priority: Local candidates of Telangana get higher rank

2. Second priority: Older candidate (by date of birth) gets higher rank

3. Third priority: Higher marks in subject paper (other than General Studies)

4. Fourth priority: Earlier date of passing the qualifying exam

5. Fifth priority: Higher percentage in qualifying exam

6. Sixth priority: Higher qualification

7. Seventh priority: Earlier date of passing higher qualification

8. Eighth priority: Higher percentage in higher qualification

How to Apply – Step by Step Guide

Follow these simple steps to apply online for TGPSC Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) Recruitment 2026.

Step 1: Visit the official TGPSC website – tgpsc.gov.in

Step 2: If you are a new user, register for One Time Registration (OTR) on the website. You will get a TGPSC ID on your mobile and email.

Step 3: Login using your TGPSC ID and date of birth. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Step 4: Fill the online application form carefully. Check all details like name, date of birth, educational qualification, category, etc.

Step 5: Choose your exam centre (Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, or Nizamabad).

Step 6: Upload your recent colour passport size photo (not older than 3 months) and signature.

Step 7: Preview the application form and check for any mistakes.

Step 8: Pay the application fee and exam fee (if applicable) online using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Step 9: After successful payment, download the PDF of your submitted application form. Note down the Reference ID number for future use.

The exam will be held at these centres in Telangana:

Reservation Information

• Local reservation (95%) is applicable for this post as per Multi Zone rules.

• Candidates from other states are not eligible for any reservation benefits.
