SBI PO 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.04.2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years

• Maximum Age: 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1996 and not later than 01.04.2005)

Age Relaxation:

Educational Qualification (as on 30.09.2026)

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

• Final year students can also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing on or before 30.09.2026.

• Candidates with qualifications like Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant etc. are also eligible.

The selection for SBI PO 2026 will be done through a three-phase process:

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

• Online Objective Test – 100 marks

• 3 sections: English Language (40 Qs, 20 mins), Quantitative Aptitude (30 Qs, 20 mins), Reasoning Ability (30 Qs, 20 mins)

• Total Duration: 1 hour

• No sectional cut-off. Candidates will be shortlisted for Main Exam based on aggregate marks.

Phase-II: Main Examination

• Objective Test – 200 marks (3 hours)

• 4 sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (40 Qs, 60 marks), Data Analysis & Interpretation (30 Qs, 60 marks), General Awareness/Economy/Banking (60 Qs, 60 marks), English Language (40 Qs, 40 marks)

• Descriptive Test – 30 marks (30 minutes): Email writing, Situation Analysis, Report/Precis Writing

• Sectional cut-off will apply.

Phase-III: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview

• Psychometric Test – Personality profiling (qualifying)

• Group Exercise – 20 marks

• Interview – 30 marks

• Total Phase-III Marks: 50

Final Selection

• Main Exam marks (out of 230) will be normalized to 75 marks

• Interview & Group Exercise marks (out of 50) will be normalized to 25 marks

• Final merit list based on combined marks
