RRB Technician Age Limit and Eligibility Criteria 2026

RRB Technician Post-Wise Qualification 2026

The educational qualification is different for both posts. For Technician Grade-I Signal, you need a B.Sc. degree or Diploma/Degree in Engineering. RRB Technician Salary and Pay Scale 2026

Selected candidates get salary as per the 7th Pay Commission. Technician Grade-I Signal posts have Pay Level 5 with starting salary Rs. 29,200 per month. Technician Grade-III posts have Pay Level 2 with starting salary Rs. 19,900 per month. You also get DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Medical Facilities and other railway benefits.

RRB Technician Selection Process 2026

The selection process has three stages. Candidates have to clear all stages to get final selection. First is the Computer Based Test. After that, candidates are called for Document Verification. Then Medical Examination is done. Final merit list is made based on CBT performance.

RRB Technician Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2026

The CBT syllabus is different for both posts. For Technician Grade-I Signal, subjects are General Awareness, Reasoning, Computers, Mathematics and Basic Science & Engineering. For Technician Grade-III, subjects are Mathematics, Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness. Both exams have 100 questions and 90 minutes duration. There is negative marking of 1/3rd mark for wrong answers.

• One Application Per Pay Level: You can submit only one application for one RRB per pay level. Multiple applications will be rejected and you will be debarred from future RRB exams.

• Aadhaar Verification: Please verify your identity using Aadhaar or DigiLocker during account creation. This helps in faster verification at later stages.

• Live Photo Capture: You must capture a live photograph during application. Old photos are not allowed. Wear dark coloured clothes and keep your face clearly visible.
