Age Relaxation (as per Haryana Govt. Instructions dated 25.03.2022):
• SC/BC of Haryana: 5 years
• PwBD: 5 years (+5 additional if belongs to SC/ST/BC/EWS, subject to maximum 52 years)
• Wives of military personnel disabled while in service: 5 years
• Widowed/Legally divorced women: 5 years
• Judicially separated women (residing separately for >2 years): 5 years
• Unmarried women: 5 years
• Ex-Servicemen (including Short Service Commissioned Officers): Military service period + 3 years
• Haryana Govt. employees (adhoc/contract/work-charged/daily wages): Equal to completed years of service (subject to maximum 52 years)
Note: Relaxation in maximum age for reserved categories is admissible only where posts are reserved for that category. Upper age limit cannot exceed 52 years.

🎓 Educational Qualification (as on 09.03.2026)
Essential Qualification for PGT Computer Science (as per Service Rules 2012 & amendments):

Academic Qualification (any one):
  • M.Sc. Computer Science (Regular two-year course) with minimum 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university
  • MCA (Regular three-year course) with minimum 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university
  • BE/B.Tech. Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT (Regular course) with minimum 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university
Language Proficiency:
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit OR 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects
Teacher Eligibility:
  • Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) or School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET)
Consistent Good Academic Record:
  • Average of 50% marks in any three examinations from 10th/12th/Graduation/Post-Graduation
  • Must have minimum 55% marks in Post-Graduation/Graduation as applicable
Relaxation for SC/PwBD: 5% relaxation in qualifying marks (minimum 52.25% required)

Important Notes:
  • Eligibility determined as on closing date (09.03.2026). No certificate issued after this date will be accepted.
  • Improvement in marks after closing date will not be considered.
  • Professional training diploma/certificate from outside Haryana recognized only if approved by Haryana Government.

⚙️ Selection Process
Three-Stage Selection Process (Commission reserves right to call candidates directly for Subject Knowledge Test without Screening Test):

Stage 1: Screening Test (Qualifying Nature - MCQ)
  • Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Total Marks: 100 (All questions carry equal marks)
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Each question has five options (A, B, C, D, E).
  • If attempting: Darken A, B, C, or D. If not attempting: Darken E circle.
  • If none of the five circles darkened: 0.25 mark deduction.
  • 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.
  • If more than 10% questions have no circle darkened: Candidate disqualified.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 25%
  • Shortlisting for Subject Knowledge Test: 4 times the number of advertised posts (category-wise).
  • Marks obtained in Screening Test are NOT counted for final selection.
Stage 2: Subject Knowledge Test (Descriptive)
  • Total Marks: 150
  • Duration: 3 Hours
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 35%
  • Shortlisting for Interview: 2 times the number of advertised posts (category-wise).
  • Weightage in Final Merit: 87.5%
Stage 3: Interview / Viva-Voce
  • Weightage in Final Merit: 12.5%
Final Merit List: Based on aggregate marks of Subject Knowledge Test (87.5%) and Interview (12.5%).
Examination Language: English only for all papers.

📝 How to Apply - Step by Step Process
Step 1: Registration Visit https://hpsc.gov.in and register using your Mobile Number & Aadhaar Number (ensure Aadhaar data is updated). If Aadhaar data is not updated, register using Mobile Number.
Step 2: Login After registration, a login ID will be created. Use it to log in and access the application form for Advertisement No. 23/2026.
Step 3: Fill Application Fill all personal, educational, and cadre preference details carefully. No changes allowed after final submission. Candidates must give preference for Rest of Haryana or Mewat Cadre. If not given, ROH will be treated as 1st preference.
Step 4: Pay Fee Pay the applicable fee online via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card by 09 March 2026 (05:00 PM).
Step 5: Print, Sign & Upload After payment, take a printout of the application form. Check all details, sign it, and upload the signed copy online along with all required scanned documents. Application is incomplete without this step and will be rejected.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Only one application per candidate. If multiple applications submitted, the one with the highest/latest application number will be considered. Keep your Application Number safe for future reference.

Category-wise Additional Documents:
  • SC Candidates: Latest DSC/OSC certificate as per notification dated 13.11.2024
  • BC-A/BC-B (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: Certificate issued on or after 01.04.2025, valid for FY 2025-26 (based on income of FY 2024-25)
  • EWS Candidates: Certificate valid for year 2025-26 as per Govt. instruction dated 25.02.2019 / 14.01.2026
  • ESM Candidates: Valid Ex-Servicemen Certificate issued by Zila Sainik Board
  • DESM Candidates: Valid eligibility certificate for the year 2025-26
  • DFF Candidates: Freedom Fighter Dependent Certificate from competent authority
  • PwBD Candidates: Disability Certificate (40% or more)
  • Haryana Domicile Certificate: For candidates claiming reservation benefits
  • Experience Certificate: For age relaxation claim (adhoc/contract employees)
  • NOC: For Haryana Govt. employees who have signed a bond
  • Disability Certificate: For Disabled ESM candidates
Important Note: All certificates must be issued on or before the closing date (09.03.2026). Certificates issued after this date will NOT be accepted.

⚠️ Important Instructions
  • Single Application: Submit only one application. If multiple submitted, only the latest application number will be considered.
  • Category Final: Candidature considered ONLY in the category filled in the form. No change allowed later.
  • Eligibility: Determined as on closing date (09.03.2026). No improvement in marks after this date is considered.
  • Cadre Preference: Must indicate preference for "Rest of Haryana" or "Mewat" Cadre. If not given, ROH is treated as 1st preference.
  • Admit Card: Will be available for download on HPSC website only. No hard copy sent by post. Mere issuance does not guarantee eligibility.
  • No Correspondence: Commission's decision on eligibility is final. No interim inquiries about results.
  • Penalty for Wrong Info: Candidature will be cancelled if any information is found false. Legal action may be taken.
  • Exam Conduct: Use of any electronic device (mobile, smartwatch, bluetooth, even in switched off mode) is strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
  • Signature Consistency: Signature must match across all documents and attendance. Any variation may lead to cancellation.
  • No Withdrawal: No request for withdrawal of candidature will be entertained after submission.
  • Haryana Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2021: Applicable with stringent punishment.
