UPGET 2026 Application Form Out

The UPGET 2026 application form has been officially released by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh. This entrance test is conducted for admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course for the academic session 2026-27. All admissions to government GNM nursing colleges and private institutions in Uttar Pradesh will be done through this entrance test only.

The online application process started on 29 April 2026 and the last date to apply is 26 May 2026 up to 11:59 PM. Candidates can apply only through the official website abvmuup.edu.in. No application will be accepted by post or any other mode. The form correction window is open from 19 May to 26 May 2026. The entrance examination will be held on 16 June 2026 in offline mode.

UPGET 2026 Application Fee

The fee can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Once the fee is paid, there will be no refund and it is non-transferable for any other examination.

UPGET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the following eligibility criteria before applying.

Age Limit:
The minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31 December 2026.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria as per Indian Nursing Council regulations:

• 10+2 with English and minimum 40 percent marks from any recognized board. Candidates from State Open School and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) are also eligible.

• 10+2 with English having 40 percent marks in vocational ANM course from a school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

• 10+2 with English having 40 percent marks in vocational stream healthcare science from a recognized CBSE board or state centre.

• Registered ANM with passing marks.

Five percent relaxation in total marks is given to SC and ST candidates. Three core elective subject marks may be taken for calculating the percentage excluding the marks in English. The candidate must have pass marks in English.

Medical Fitness:
Students should be medically fit. Disabled candidates with loco-motor disability of 40 percent to 50 percent of the lower extremity are eligible.

Domicile:
For admission to all government GNM training centres and schools, the candidate must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh. This means the candidate must have a domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh issued from a competent authority OR the candidate has passed both 10th and 12th board examinations from Uttar Pradesh.

UPGET 2026 Reservation Policy

Reservation is provided as per the Uttar Pradesh State Government rules.

• SC, ST, OBC reservation as per state government norms

• 5 percent horizontal reservation for PwD candidates with loco-motor disability

• 15 percent government seats reserved for in-service ANM candidates with 5 years of experience

• 10 percent government seats reserved for male candidates

• 10 percent EWS quota as per UP government directives

Valid caste certificates issued only by the competent authority (Tehsildar or SDM) of Uttar Pradesh Government are acceptable. Valid OBC and EWS certificates must be issued on or after 01 April 2026.

UPGET 2026 Exam Pattern

UPGET 2026 Syllabus and Subject Wise Distribution

The questions will be objective type multiple choice. Answers must be marked on the OMR sheet using a black ball point pen provided at the examination centre.

The exam will be conducted in the following cities. These cities may change for administrative reasons.

Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Basti, Banda, Ghaziabad, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Varanasi, and Gautam Buddha Nagar.

How to Apply for UPGET 2026 ?

Follow these steps to apply online.

Step 1: Visit the official website abvmuup.edu.in and click on the link for UP GNM Entrance Test (UPGET) 2026.

Step 2: Click on the Register button and fill in your basic details including name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, gender, email address, mobile number, and category.

Step 3: Verify your email and mobile number using the OTPs sent during registration.

Step 4: After successful registration, login using your Registration ID and password.

Step 5: Fill in the application form in five stages: Personal Information, Address, Educational Qualifications and Centre City Preferences, Photo and Signature Upload, and Form Preview.

Step 6: Capture your live photograph using the webcam or mobile camera as per the guidelines.

Step 7: Upload your passport size photograph and signature in the specified format.

Step 8: Upload the duly filled verification sheet which can be downloaded from the portal.

Step 9: Preview your form and check all details carefully.

Step 10: Pay the application fee online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Step 11: After successful payment, the form will be auto submitted. Download and print the final application form.

UPGET 2026 Admit Card

The admit card will be available for download from 09 June 2026 on the official website. Candidates can download it using their Registration ID and Password. A coloured printout of the admit card must be taken. The admit card will contain details like exam date, time, centre address, and important instructions. Candidates must carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre. Digital format of admit card will not be accepted.

UPGET 2026 Result and Merit List

The result date will be announced on the official website after the examination. A combined merit list and category wise merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the entrance test. In case of a tie, the following criteria will be used:

1. Higher marks in Science section

2. Higher marks in English section

3. Higher marks in General Knowledge section

4. Higher age (older candidate)

5. Higher Class 10th marks percentage

UPGET 2026 Counselling and Admission

Details regarding counselling will be available on the official website after the declaration of result. The selection and allotment of college will be strictly done on the basis of the UPGET 2026 merit list through counselling only. Candidates who qualify must deposit the prescribed fee on the date notified by the university. Candidates must join the course within the specified period.

UPGET 2026 Important Instructions

• Only online applications will be accepted. No application by post or other means.

• The name, date of birth, gender, and parents' names must match with Class 10th certificate.

• Registration ID and password should be kept safely for all future communications.

• Candidates must use their own email ID and mobile number for registration.

• Incomplete applications will be rejected without any further intimation.

• Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission.

• Mere deduction of fee from bank account is not proof of fee payment.

• A message "your application form has been successfully submitted" confirms final submission.
