Rajasthan SET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Master's degree from a recognized university. The minimum marks required are:

Important Points for Final Year Candidates
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of their Master's degree can also apply. Such candidates will be admitted provisionally. They must complete their Master's degree within two years from the date of SET result. They must also achieve the required percentage of marks. Failing this, they will be disqualified.
Subject Eligibility
Candidates must appear in the subject of their post graduation only. If a candidate's subject is not in the SET list, they can appear in UGC NET or UGC-CSIR NET.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for Rajasthan SET 2026. Candidates of any age can apply.
Certificate Validity
The SET certificate is valid only for the state of Rajasthan. The validity of the certificate is forever. Recruitment to Assistant Professor posts will be done by universities, colleges, and recruitment agencies based on SET qualification.
Rajasthan SET 2026 Exam Pattern
The Rajasthan SET 2026 exam has two papers. Both papers have objective multiple choice questions. There is no break between the papers. Total time is 3 hours (180 minutes).

Paper I Details
Paper I has 50 questions for 100 marks. This paper tests teaching aptitude and research aptitude. It also tests reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
Paper II Details
Paper II has 100 questions for 200 marks. This paper is based on the subject selected by the candidate. It tests the subject knowledge of the candidate.
Rajasthan SET 2026 Marking Scheme
Each question carries 2 marks. For each correct answer, the candidate gets 2 marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. No marks are given for unattempted questions.
If a question is found to be incorrect or ambiguous, only candidates who attempted it will get credit. If the question is dropped, all candidates will get 2 marks for that question.
Medium of Question Paper
The question paper is in English and Hindi only. Language papers will be in the concerned language only. In case of any confusion, the English version will be considered final.
