Bihar CET-B.Ed. 2026: Eligibility Criteria
For Two-Year B.Ed. Programme:
Candidates must have at least 50% marks either in Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) or Master's Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, or Commerce. Candidates with Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics must have at least 55% marks. Any other qualification equivalent to the above is also accepted.
For Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.) Programme:
Candidates must have at least 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) with Sanskrit as the main subject or Shastri or B.A. with Sanskrit. Candidates with Acharya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra or Master's Degree in Sanskrit with 50% marks are also eligible. Candidates with Two-Year Shastri or B.A. including Sanskrit with minimum 50% marks must complete a one-year bridge course.
Important Notes on Eligibility:

Candidates from outside Bihar are eligible to apply but will not get reservation benefits. They must fill their application under Unreserved (UR) Category.

There is no specific upper age limit mentioned for the entrance test.

Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree can also apply, provided they can produce the marksheet at the time of counselling.
Bihar CET-B.Ed. 2026: Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The CET-B.Ed. 2026 examination will be of two hours duration. Candidates have to answer 120 multiple-choice questions. Each question has four options, from which the most appropriate answer must be selected and marked on the OMR sheet. Only blue or black ball pen should be used to mark answers on the OMR sheet.

Detailed Syllabus:
1. General English Comprehension (15 Questions):
This section tests the candidate's ability to understand and comprehend the English language. Questions are designed to test basic understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and reading comprehension.
2. General Hindi (15 Questions):
This section tests the candidate's knowledge of Hindi language including grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, and comprehension passages.
3. Logical and Analytical Reasoning (25 Questions):
Questions will test the candidate's ability to think logically and analytically. Topics include analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification, and arithmetical reasoning.
4. General Awareness (40 Questions):
This is the most important section with maximum weightage. Questions will test the candidate's general awareness of the environment and current events. Topics include history, geography, Indian polity and constitution, science and technology, sports, culture, economic scene, and everyday observations.
5. Teaching-Learning Environment in Schools (25 Questions):
This section tests the candidate's understanding of the teaching-learning process, classroom management, educational psychology, child development, and modern teaching methods.
How to Apply for Bihar CET-B.Ed. 2026: Step-by-Step Guide
The online application process for CET-B.Ed. 2026 is completed in three main steps. Follow the instructions carefully.
Step 1: Online Registration

Click on the "New Registration" link on the homepage.

Fill in all required details including your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.

Create a password for your account.

Upload your recent passport-size colour photograph and signature in jpeg format (file size should not exceed 100 KB each).

Bihar CET-B.Ed. 2026: Exam Centres
Candidates must select three cities from the following list for their examination centre. B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur will allot the centre based on the choices given. The allotted centre must be accepted by the candidate. No request for change of centre will be entertained.

Bihar CET-B.Ed. 2026: Admit Card

The admit card will be available for download from 01 June 2026 onwards.

Candidates must log in to the official website using their email ID and password to download the admit card.

The admit card will contain details like candidate's name, roll number, exam date and time, exam centre address, and important instructions.

Carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid admit card.
Bihar CET-B.Ed. 2026: Answer Key and Objections
